Rosario Borrelli
Researcher at Italian Aerospace Research Centre
Rosario Borrelli was born in December 1982. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Naples, Italy, in 2006 with an Investigation on Friction Stir Welded double joints made in aluminium alloys of aeronautic interests. He got a research engineer position at C.I.R.A. (Italian Centre for Aerospace Research) in the Aerostructural Design and Testing Laboratory. In 2011, he acquired a Ph. D. in Technology and Production Systems at the University of Naples. He is currently Head of the “Manufacturing Process – Metallic Materials” laboratory involved in the development of Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) technologies for aeronautical and aerospace applications. He is author of over 25 peer-reviewed publications and reviewer for several Journal and Conference.
